Indian famous actor Shah Rukh Khan (SRK) moves out of Mannat into a rented apartment with his family. According to the sources, his grade III heritage house will undergo some major renovations. Therefore, the family has to move from the mansion to avoid inconvenience. SRK leased four luxurious apartments in Pali Hill, Bandra Duplex.
The decision of renovations in Mannat
Mannat will be going through a grand renovation, including the addition of two more floors. SRK’s sea-facing mannat is located near the Bandra Bandstand. This mansion has been the property of Khans for 25 years.
Mannat is a Grade III heritage building, first known as Villa Vienna, which was built in 1914. It has a unique European architecture that has mesmerized people for years. SRK liked this bungalow in 1997 during the shoot of “Yes Boss” and decided to buy this mansion for his residential purposes. Furthermore, in 2001, he owned this bungalow with his devoted hard work in the Bollywood film industry. SRK and his family have lived in this house since 2005.
Thousands and millions of people are waiting outside his mannat to see their favorite actor and take some selfies with his mansion. After the construction of the mannat, the mansion went through only a few modifications due to its heritage status.
The government restricted the extensive modifications on such heritage structural buildings. Therefore, SRK’s wife applied to the Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority (MCZMA) for the renovation of their mansion back in 2024. In this application, Gauri Khan (wife of SRK) asked permission to extend the mannat annexe with two more floors. They have got permission to renovate their Grade III heritage building.
The additional area will grow by 616.02 square meters after the possible renovations. Mannat consists of six floors, including two basements and a ground floor. Currently, they are planning to add the seventh and eighth floors to their mansion.
SRK Moves Out of Mannat
According to latest reports, the possible renovation of this bungalow will start in May. These renovations will take at least two years. The Khan family, including his wife, son (Aryan & Abraham), and daughter (Suhana), has to move from mannat in the coming few weeks as the renovations will start anytime.
As per the reports of ARY News, Shah Rukh Khan leased four apartments in Pali Hills, Bandra. He has to pay INR 24 lacs per month for those apartments for 3 years.
As per the report of Hindustan Times, SRK’s production house, Red Chillies Entertainment, signed a Leave and License agreement with Vashu Bhagnani and his children, Jacky Bhagnani and Deesshika Deshmukh. The Khan family has leased the four apartments, which are co-owned by the Bhagnani family. Every apartment consists of a single floor.
Mannat’s Staff & Security
As the SRK family moves out of mannat to their new temporary home, their staff and security will also move to their new space along with them. SRK leased the first, second, seventh, and eighth floors for three years. However, the estimated time of renovating the mannat is two years. It is possible that the Khan family will not stay in the flats for the whole three years.
His security and staff members will also move and stay with them until the renovations are complete.
Does the Khan Family Face Space Issues?
Those luxury Bandra flats are not as spacious as SRK’s mannat, but they can accommodate each and every person easily. The Khan family, their home staff, employees, and security staff can be easily accommodated in luxury apartments. Moreover, a separate space for an office is also allocated in these flats, which means there is sufficient space in apartments.

Will This Process Affect Their Careers?
Shah Rukh Khan is considered the King of Bollywood. These renovations and moving into another house will not affect his career at all. However, the star had no major releases this year. He only voice-over for the role of Mufasa in “The Lion King” Hindi version of the film.
According to the latest reports, SRK may make a cameo appearance in the film “Rocketry The Nambi Effect” by R. Madhavan. This film will possibly be released in 2026.
According to Bollymoviereviewz, Pathan 2 will be one of SRK’s future projects in 2028.
Moreover, he will be seen in his next film “King” with his daughter Suhana Khan and Abhishek Bachchan. This film will be the debut on the big screen of his daughter, Suhana Khan.”
On the other side, his elder son, Aryan Khan, is also preparing for his directorial debut with the Netflix Series for Bollywood. This series will be produced under the banner of Red Chillies Entertainment.
