Independence Day in Pakistan is celebrated on the 14th of August with harmony and love. We celebrate this day in remembrance of our freedom from British colonial in 1947. A variety of events and festivals will organize on that day.

TCF plans to celebrate Independence Day in a unique way
The Citizen Foundation Company (TCF), established in August 1995. It’s a famous charitable organization that manages schools and provides primary and secondary education to girls and boys in rural areas and the needy urban residents of Pakistan.
Initiative on this Independence Day:
TCF is holding an art competition for educational purposes. This competition will held in Lahore. That means only artists from Lahore can participate in this competition. Artists are free to make sculptures, paintings, watercolours paintings, sketching, and calligraphy. The main purpose of this competition is to raise awareness of education among people. Their theme must be related to ‘education’, ‘Independence Day’, and ‘Pakistan’.

PHA to celebrate Independence Day with illuminations and fireworks
The director of Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) DG Muhammad Tahir Wattoo, announced on Sunday that PHA set the sky with fireworks and illuminations at Minar-e-Pakistan on the 14th of August to celebrate the 78th independence day of Pakistan. He also added that they will organize several events including a flag hoisting ceremony at the racecourse park, an art competition that celebrates Arshad Nadeem’s historic Olympic gold medal, and the distribution of plants at various spots in the city. PHA took the initiative of planting about 25 million trees in the province.

University of Azad Jammu Kashmir plans to celebrate Independence Day
University of Azad Jammu Kashmir (UAJK) plans to celebrate Pakistan’s 77th independence day with a series of events under the leadership of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kleem Abbasi. The students lined up all the events according to 14th August with great patriotism.
