For the first time in history, Pakistan is going to host the international FDI summit in 2025. This summit will possibly be held in Islamabad in March or April this year. This initiative was taken in the 4^th general assembly of the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO) at the Dead Sea, Jordan.

Shaza Fatima Khawaja the Minister of State for Information Technology and Telecommunication leads a delegation to this assembly and discusses Pakistan’s plans for future growth in technology. She also added that the country is open to global collaborations aimed at enhancing the economic and technological growth in Pakistan.

During the event, Miss Shaza Fatima also announced that Pakistan will host its first-ever Digital Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) Summit on 29^th April 2025. The government of Pakistan is organizing this summit event with the collaboration of the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO) and the World Economic Forum (WEF).

This FDI summit 2025 is hosted to attract the attention of international investors and tech giants and enhance business growth in Pakistan. The more international investors engage in this event, the more we can enhance our business environment and growth in technology.

 The FDI initiative is based on four major pillars including digital adoption, digital infrastructure, digital services exports, and emerging digital activities.

A country that is already struggling with so many issues regarding its economic and political conditions, this event will help in various ways.
