Google is rapidly updating various features of its smartphones and other gadgets. Recently, the company announced a new feature “talk live about this” which will be rolling out only for the Pixel 9 series. Google first announces this new feature in the recent launching ceremony of the S25 series.

“Talk Live About This” is A New Feature Rolling Out In Gemini

Gemini is Google’s AI assistant which was previously used for general knowledge purposes only. But now the company enhanced its feature to a whole new level of innovation. With the “Talk Live About This” feature users can engage in live interaction with this AI smart assistant.

Users can now experience more convenience with this latest feature in Gemini. This feature will allow users to interact with Gemini, engage in live conversation directly, and have discussions about images, PDF documents, and YouTube videos. Currently, this feature is only available for the Pixel 9 series but there are high chances of this feature rolling out in the S24 and Pixel 8 series in the near future. However, releasing date of this feature is not confirmed yet but it possibly comes out within a few weeks.

How does it work?

Users can easily talk to Gemini Live about images, documents, and videos without any distractions. Firstly, to access this feature make sure to install the Gemini app and you have your software updated.  To run this feature in the Pixel 9 series users can go to Gemini and long press the power button or give it a voice command “Hey Google”

Once it starts, a new button starts floating on the screen “Talk live about…”. This feature will be available on the top of the already available “ask about” option. Talk Live is the latest and most convenient feature for users because they can simply ask anything about the screen they see in live conversations with Gemini.

Important Options Users Can See

• On YouTube, users can see the “Talk Live About the Video” option.
• “Talk Live About this PDF” will appear on documents and PDF files.
• On images, users will get to see “Talk Live About This”

Once users select the option it will directly take them to the live interface of Gemini. In this feature, Gemini can also remember the previously discussed content for the convenience of users.

If you are using this feature for images then you have to upload an image from your gallery. You cannot take a screenshot of your screen to enable this feature.

Moreover, Google also offers the disable feature for “Talk Live” which means you can disable this “talk live about…” feature at any time. After disabling, this feature will o longer catch data for you until you have to provide it to the Gemini manually or enable the “talk live about…” option.
